About Nordic Art & Me

   My name is Sóley Seyer       

I am a versatile and passionate Nordic artist, born in Iceland, grew up in the Faroe Islands now based in Denmark, who has been creating captivating artworks for over 15 years.

Drawing inspiration from the dramatic landscapes and raw beauty of Iceland and Nordic nature, my work is a fusion of colors, textures, and emotions, with each piece reflecting the unique interplay of fire and ice, volcanoes, glaciers, hot springs, and the ever-changing natural world.

Using acrylic paints and mixed media, I capture the intense energy of these elements, creating artworks that evoke a sense of movement, emotion, and the sublime.

A Journey of Creativity

While painting has been the primary medium for me over the past 15 years, creativity has always been an integral part of my life. Before focusing on visual art, I worked in web design, floral arrangements, and interior styling, honing a keen sense of aesthetics and an ability to blend design, color, and form. This eclectic mix of creative experiences has shaped my artistic voice, making it rich, dynamic, and full of life.

Creative Process and Materials

In the studio, I thrive on experimentation, constantly seeking new ways to express the essence of nature through mixed media techniques. Layers of paint, sand, and textured mediums give the work depth and dimension, creating a tactile experience that mirrors the physical landscapes that inspire it.
